Stredoslovenská energetika, a.s. began to apply rules regarding the D 37 tariff pursuant to the applicable price list for 2006 (approved by RONI Decision No. 0014/2006/E as of 30 November 2005) in order to establish a balance between the consumption pattern and other tariffs.
As indicated in a letter sent to the clients of Stredoslovenská Energetika, a.s. in 2005, the following measures will be adopted: Where the yearly electricity consumption at an offtake point in the low tariff with the main circuit breaker from 3 x 25A (1 x 25A) to 3 x 63A is below 6,000 kWh, the customer is to pay a fixed monthly fee in the amount of SKK 1,300 excl. DPH instead of the contractually agreed fixed monthly fee. Having received the letter, many of the respective clients changed their tariffs or contacted SSE for more detailed information.
The same conditions regarding D37 tariffs had already been applied since 1 January 2005. In invoices throughout 2005, SSE did not apply the consumption limit evaluation. In this way SSE made it possible for clients to change the above tariff to a different one, depending on the consumption pattern of each client.
