Electrical connection - Entrepeneur and organizations

The electricity connection begins where the power line branches out from the facility housing the electricity main to the electricity customer or where it forms a part of the electricity main. The branching out of the power line at the power station means its branching out after its switching and breaker elements, or possibly after its branch bar. In all other cases, the branching out of a power line means its branching away from the overhead power line or cable line.

A low-voltage electricity connection terminates, in the case of overhead lines, at the main fuse box of a building or, in the case of cable lines, it terminates at the main cable box; these boxes constitute a part of the electricity connection and they are located in a publicly accessible area. Where the building is not equipped with a main fuse box, the outdoor electricity connection is deemed to terminate at the last support point (e.g. roof pole, bracket or tower), or at the customer´s property lines.

Setting up an electricity connection (irrespective of voltage) is the responsibility of the electricity supplier or, subject to the conditions defined by the electricity supplier, other authorised persons, be they natural or legal. The cost of setting up an electricity connection is borne by the person for whom it is set up, unless the electricity supplier and customer agree otherwise.

If the owner of an electricity connection so requests, the electricity supplier has the obligation to operate, maintain and repair the connection at the expense of the owner.

Where the electricity connection is provided by way of a loop on the electricity distribution main, the customer has the obligation to enable the electricity supplier, at no cost, to transmit electricity through its device.
