Stredoslovenská energetika, a. s. (SSE) provides its customers buying electricity with a wide range of products and services. When providing these services and work the SSE staff are authorised to enter onto the lands of customers which often happens under the threat for their lives and property.

SSE offers the following services at which the workers come into direct contact with the customers: exchange of electrometers, reading of electrometers, service of meters, control of the points of taking, failures removal, equipment reconstruction. At such work they have service cards and working cloths designated by the logo of Stredoslovenská energetika, a.s., or the logo of subsidiary SSE - Metrológia, s. r. o. They prove their identity to the customers at their request and the identity may also be verified at the SSE Customer Care  Centre (0850 111 468 - phone number for households, 0850 123 555 -phone number for businessmen and organisations).

Stredoslovenská energetika, a. s., requires its customers - households, businessmen, companies and organisations to co-operate at these activities, because it often happens that the equipment is located on the customers´ lands and at the work performance a free access to the land is required.

SSE points to the risks relating to such work which is also proved by specific cases that happened in the past, e.g. physical assault by the customer, threatening by weapon, assail by dog and domestic animals, sending threatening text messages and calls mentioning physical liquidation of the employee or his relatives or damaging of company motor vehicles.

The workers of Stredoslovenská energetika, a. s., do not intend to endanger the customers but to provide good-standard services.
